Valor Preserve

Valor Preserve is a permanent supportive housing development for veterans of the US armed forces and residents who have a Disabling Condition that currently impairs or is likely to impair their physical mobility. Valor Preserve will contain 64 units with a preference for veterans and at least 50% of the units targeting persons with a Disabling Condition. Pinellas County Housing Authority (PCHA), Newstar’s co-developer, will own and operate this development with financial closing expected in the fall of 2022. This development will set aside 10 (15%) of the units for households earning 33% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI) and 54 (85%) of the units for households earning 60% or less of AMI. Financing includes 9% tax credit equity from Raymond James Tax Credit Equity, SAIL/ELI funding from Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC), Pinellas County loan funds, and a PCHA loan.
